Love this episode, the twist was great again (obviously not as amazing as last season but still great). I love the different feel as well. And also love that we are going to follow the characters living in the next season. I completely agree with your takeaways from this episode. Great Reaction!

There was a comment a few episodes ago where Chidi said something like, "I'd help you even if you were a stranger walking into my officer." The line jumped out on this rewatch with how this episode ends.

The writers of this show have never let the premise stagnate by constantly upsetting the status quo.

I love this season. This to me is better then season 1, because this season really develops the characters. But I can understand loving season 1 more. And it has some of my favorite moments.

From the episode with the hot air balloon to "The REAL Good Place" CHIDI: The circumstances under which we met are completely insane, and that just makes the grinding harder. I just wish we met the way normal people meet, like at a philosophy conference, or after one of my philosophy lectures, or you came knocking on my office door asking for help with philosophy. The writing and callbacks in this show are so far beyond anything I've seen down with a show like this before. Honestly, there really hasn't been a show like this before. I'm also very glad you came around on Michael. It made me sad when he would make improvements and real connections, but you always be like, "I still think he's up to something, I don't trust him" (With good reason after the season 1 finale). But it's just nice to hear you root for him now. Glad you're loving the show!

This is a great episode and a great season finale because it definitely leaves you wanting more...but one of the best parts, for me, was seeing Ted Danson play a bartender again. :D
