I love that the Doctor and Rivers conversation on the beach is a role reversal on the one 10 and River had in the library - "Time can be re written " "Dont you dare"

If you didn't know who The Brigadier is he was one of the longest serving companions in classic Who and he passed away near to this season's filming.

I mentioned this on David’s Jessica Jones reaction, but would you Whovians like to see one or both of the guys do a reaction to Broadchurch? It would be a good warmup to the Thirteenth Doctor and Chris Chibnall as show runner (plus has Ten and Rory among others) and/or I just kinda think David would really like the heavy drama.

Just FYI, the call he made was to Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart... a beloved original DW character. We all just call him Brigadier😊 To me this was one of my top 5 favorite episodes in the New Who series. BTW: you said Donna 2... I WISH💖 Rose-2 seasons Martha-1 season Donna-1 season Amy and Rory-2 seasons @ THIS point.

I think the reason he marries her is because she has to be family to have privileges with the tesselecta and see him through the eye - in Let's Kill Hitler they only gave Amy info because she was River's mum.

Brigadier General was a classic who friend/companion. He was around since the 2nd or 3rd doctor till 11. He's a legend in the whoniverse. If you want more info, check out any youtube vid on him and the doctor

Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart was a recurring character. A military officer who interacted with the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th Doctor. When UNIT was created, he was put in charge and given the rank of Brigadier. (The 3rd Doctor joined UNIT as their scientific advisor, so technically worked for the Brigadier.) Lethbridge-Stewart was in 23 different stories of classic Who, plus numerous spin-off books, audio productions, etc.

You may have mentioned this at some point and I may have just missed it, but, do you ever plan on watching Torchwood? The first season took place through out s2 of DW and by watching the end of s3 and s3 you already know a tiny bit about Torchwood. I mean... it's the Angel of Buffy in my opinion and you like Angel a little more than Buffy don't you? Because it's done differently than each other.

According to River in the episode there are conflicting historical accounts that she's either the woman who kills the doctor or marries the doctor. By marrying her he makes it so she's not the woman who kills him.
