Ryan Wilson

A 1999 teen classic! This has John Hughes vibes all over it. One of the best teen movies ever made. I love it

NWar086

yes youve definetly seen julia stiles in a lot of movies. . probably most notably a string of jason bourne movies

SweetSummit

Nicholas Sparks wise have you seen A Walk To Remember? I know it's not the most popular of the Nicholas Sparks films but I love Mandy Moore so much it's my favourite.

Amanda Logsdon

Yep the bourne movies is unfortunately the only other thing i have seen her in.

Love this movie. It's based on Shakespeare's 'Taming of the Shrew', hence all the Shakespeare references. If you've seen a lot of 90s teen comedies you should check out 'Not Another Teen Movie' it makes fun of all of them and Chris Evans is the lead.

Jeremiah

'Save the Last Dance' is the dance movie you were thinking of.

Amanda Winner

Save the Last Dance was one of my favorite dance movies when I was younger. Well I hope The Dark Knight is on your upcoming list. Yes, Gabrielle Union was in the first Bring It On

Kacey Caldwell

I would love to see you watch Save the Last Dance.

Kacey Caldwell

Did you ever watch 7th Heaven? If so Joey was Wilson who was a single teen father who dated Mary.

Who the heck voted “skippable”? Did they make a mistake or do they just have no taste? 🤨 Anyways this is one of my favorite movies of all time! I love it so much, and it really cemented one of my first major crushes ever- Joseph Gordon Levitt 🥰, who I still love to this day. I loved Heath Ledger in this too, and I still sad that he died so young 😥. He was such a talented actor and he had so much more he could have offered the world. But this movie is my favorite role of his, because it brings me so much joy and nostalgia. I really loved Julia Stiles in this too, and I love her in S5 of Dexter too, even though a lot of people (including your brother) don’t seem to love her role in S5 so much. I saw Save The Last once a long time ago, but I only remember bits and pieces of it. I’m thinking about watching it again after watching this movie, but I knows it’s not nearly as funny, and I really need comedy right now. BTW, the castle-like high school in this movie is a real high school in Tacoma, WA. I live about a half an hour away from it and when I first moved to WA a couple years ago, I drove by that school, because I knew it was where they had filmed this movie and I wanted to see. It’s such a cool looking building for a high school. I went to two different high schools and both of them were ugly ass buildings. The one in this movie (Stadium High School) was originally supposed to be a hotel, but the original plans were abandoned for lack of money, and it was turned into a school in 1906. 🙂

Yes it’s chalk full of Shakespearean references, even in the songs the bands played. I feel like David didn’t really get a lot of those references, but that’s okay. I’m not a Shakespeare buff, and you don’t have to be one to enjoy this movie. 🙂

He was also in a lot of teen movies in the 90’s. One of my favorite he played a main character in is Camp Nowhere.

Amberlynn

This is one of my favorite movies ever! Andrew Keegan (Joey) was in a lot of movies and shows in the 90's which is why his face seems so familiar. I know him specifically from his cameos in Full House, Boy Meets World, and Moesha. He always tended to play the douchebag player (at least in the roles I've seen him in). Julia Stiles is such a great actress and Heath (RIP) was the perfect Patrick. He nails every role. They tried to update this movie and turn it into a show, but it didn't get picked up after the first season.

Mariella Nilsson

Have never seen this before, but if it’s based on Shakespeare, how can I resist!

this is the best teen romcom ever. hands down. I cant help but get really sad after i watch it knowing heath ledger passed away. He had such a beautiful soul, it breaks my heart that we lost him so early.

I was a senior in High school when this came out. It’s a modern retelling of the Shakespeare play, the timing of the shrew. The first thing I remember seeing Julia styles is was the tv miniseries The 60s. She was really excellent in that. And Larissa, who played Bianca was in a Nickelodeon show when she was young called, The Secret World of Alex Mack and I had a crush on her dating back to that show. she’s so pretty. Anyways, this movie is very fun. I even liked the TV Show 10 Things I hate About you that was on tv a couple of years ago as a remake/retelling of the story.
