the season finale is great and you can definitely feel that its the finale by watching it!

Seth just came off like a babbling idiot to Summer’s dad, so that was Summer’s dad’s impression of him. His opinion means a lot to Summer, so she was really upset that her dad didn’t think too highly of Seth, but she knows Seth has anxiety issues and isn’t actually an idiot so she should’ve stuck up for him more here. Instead she let her dad’s low opinion of Seth cast doubt on her own feelings for Seth. She thought Seth was an idiot and a loser for the longest time too, until she actually got to know him and then she fell for him. She should’ve known it would take more than one lunch for her dad to get know Seth. Can’t wait for you to react to the next two eps! Are you going to be doing S2? Please say yes. The O.C. is the show I’m most interested in seeing you react to, because I’ve hardly seen anyone react to it, and it’s so iconic in my mind. I can’t believe this series ended nearly 15 years ago! I was really into it when it was airing on TV, which makes me feel so old now. 😭

I feel like this episode is more of a set-up for the last two episodes of the season. The way so many things are unresolved or on the verge of changing .. I hope you enjoy the ride :)

The thing is, Eddie always seemed like a nice enough dude. But that's how people usually are, it's not like he just goes around beating up people, he's not an "evil" character. We all know someone who has actually hit their partner/punched/raped/abused someone, we just don't know about it. Often they're people that everybody likes. Eddie maybe gets like that when he drinks. Plus we've seen him act irrationality before, he showed up at the kids' school and later at the Cohen house and punched Ryan.

yeah the writers made some...choices in this episode. and not very good ones. most of the characters made choices that made little sense and there were very few people to root for here.

The way I saw it was the show showed us the Eddie that Eddie wants people to see but Theresa ran away to newport when he proposed so maybe it had happened before then.
