Stiles mom died when he was younger. You'll find more about that/her later, but knowing she's dead isn't a spoiler. I love Peter and his (literal) mind games. This episode is pretty much a set-up episode for the next two. Derek's not under a spell or anything (at least I don't think he is). He has his reasons why he's acting this way, though. Derek opening the door was to give himself up to let Scott and Jackson get away. Of course he went there to kill Jackson and then fight--possibly kill--Scott when he showed up, but honestly, he doesn't want them to get hurt if they don't have to, and especially not by hunters like the Argents. Stiles' is his father's son. He is definitely smart and they make sure to show that, but he has major attention/focusing issues (either ADD or ADHD, which is why he takes adderall....sometimes too much, clearly). He just focuses on the wrong things, but he's one of the smartest in the school (the smartest being Lydia). The arrowhead was the flash bang you asked about last episode (and the same one used in the Hale house later in the episode.

this episode was a bit boring but TRUST THE PROCESS, Season 2 gets better episode by episode. It will almost be a completely different show by season 3 but I know people have already said that so don't have your expectations too high either haha just so you can be surprised. I am contradicting my self aren't I lol. But anyway Can't wait to continue this journey with you
