Shane is such an idiot- he should’ve been strategic. If he played it right Herschel wouldn’t be trying to throw him off his land. He’s too hot-headed, you can’t act on instinct in this world.

I’m so sick of Shane, what he did in the barn was because he was told no. Shane doesn’t accept people disagreeing with him, in his mind he is right and he knows best. Like a child he decided to kill them anyway regardless if it was okay for the group despite Lori being pregnant , needing hershel for the baby, and them looking for Sophia. Dal should have told everyone Shane was going to shoot rick and his suspicion of Shane killing Otis. Hershel didn’t know Sophia was in the barn because Otis was the one who caught her, put her in the barn,and then left with Shane later on. None of the greens knew because Otis had been catching them, and he died that night. If you remember they’ve went over it that walkers would get stuck in the swampy area and Otis would pull them out.

The problem with Shane, is while he is suited for this world in the case of survival, he is not suited for the people in this world. If he doesn't know how to be diplomatic in the group, then he isn't going to survive.
