Greer needs access to the government feeds (camera surveillance, records, etc) in order for Samaritan to be able to receive and analyze information, so he needs to negotiate a deal with the government to give him that. Without it, Samaritan is blind and deaf. I absolutely cannot wait for the final 3 episodes! I hope you will be able to double up episodes like you mentioned a little while ago.

Love this episode so much. Its a 10 for me. Amazing twist and the last sequence at the end with the song that was playing, I love how it provides a sense of hopelessness. Like Michael said, Greer needs the legislation in his favour in order to get access to the government feeds. What do you remember as selling it to the highest bidder part - That was the information that (once its live and with access to the feeds) Samaritan will have access to. Thank you for your reaction. Please try and do the rest of the episodes as soon as possible. They are some of the best Television you'll ever experience.

Finch did say that if they are now in a place where the machine is asking them to murder, that is where he gets off. The ending seemed more like a telling look at the machine after what it asked them to do, before leaving. At least that is what it seems like we are supposed to think at that point. And I think the actual reason Shaw and Reese were worried is that they had a chase where all the various agencies got very close, after they kidnapped a senator who also saw what they looked like. So they don't know if anyone is coming after them or not. But it is played a little bit more urgently and dramatically for the misdirect, so the "did they, didn't they" is more tense.
