I am shamed to admit, that as a 42-year-old man I have never watched The Goonies. This will be my first time, too!

Rue Surnameunimportant

Wayyyy better than Stranger Things. I didn't hate the show but it was kinda dull for me.

emmainkeri

Goonies is sooo good!!

Renee Pope-Munro

All time childhood fave. My quintessential 80’s memory xo Goonies never say die! ✊🏼

Ceara Abrahamsz

I’m 23 and I didn’t see this movie in the 80s or 90s! I first watched this when I was a kid, my oldest sister, who was born 1980, and did see this movie when she was little when it first came out; she had me watch this movie when I was very young, so I did in a way grow up with this movie. Just I grew up with this in the 2000s. I LOVE this movie, it holds up even now as I am a young adult. My sisters love this movie, younger and older sisters, we all adore this movie, and absolutely see it as a cult classic. I don’t see how anyone can watch this movie and not at least like it, but hey to each their own! I actually prefer this movie more than Back to the Future! Thanks for the reaction. ❤️☠️

Ceara Abrahamsz

Would love to ask that you react to ‘The Labyrinth’ It stars David Bowie! Definitely a must-see! ❤️

Teresina

This is one of my all time favorite movies! 😁👍🥰

Paul Gibson

Hey, you guys!

Crystal Laherrere

If you want another movie that was used as inspiration for Stranger Things do Stand By Me. It’s just beautiful.

Mister_Momus

If I could go back to when I chose to subscribe to this Patreon page and I was asking myself if it would be worth it, I would tell myself I get an excuse to watch entire sittings of Harry Potter, Back to the Future, MCU movies, and the Goonies and also see them through someone else's eyes for the first time.

Mister_Momus

You're going to get a lot of great dramatic film suggestions, but when you feel like going a comedy route then Airplane!, Top Secret, Hot Shots, and Hot Shots Part Deux are a good route to go.

Will

How about The Lost Boys? :)

Quantoto

If you haven't seen it watch "Clue" (1985). One of the best movies based on a board game.

Renee Pope-Munro

OMG, Clue is GLORIOUS and so criminally inderrated. That cast is one of the most baller ensembles of the entire decade. Co-sign times a million.

Lefwyn

Star Trek 2 The Wrath of Khan :)

Teresina

I think my mom must have liked this movie and recorded it for me to watch, because I remember watching it for the first time in the early 90’s and then I introduced it to my younger brothers, like I did with a lot of movies that were before their time. And my dad introduced me to a lot of comedy movies I regard as classics that I haven’t seen anyone mention yet- *Planes, Trains & Automobiles*, Young Frankenstein, Spaceballs, Three Amigos, Little Shop of Horrors, Wayne’s World (just to name a few)

Teresina

I’m not into Star Trek, but I remember watching this with my dad as a kid and liking it.

J Scott Page

Oh you gotta watch Throw Mama From the Train! It's hysterical!

Nica Marie

I have plenty of movie suggestions: Heathers, They Live, Pump Up the Volume, The Legend of Billie Jean, Some Kind of Wonderful, Weird Science, The Breakfast Club, Lucas, Silver Bullet, Real Genius, Revenge of the Nerds just for starters

FernWithy

Ah, The Goonies. One of the great fun ones of my childhood. Also, best Stranger Things connection: Mikey grows up to be Bob Newby, Superhero. Also, his brother is Thanos. Mouth is Corey Feldman who was in EVERYTHING in the 80s. Jeff Cohen (Chunk) did the truffle shuffle while running for student government in college and is now a lawyer (why do I even know this? I don't know). And Data (Ke Huy Quan, now credited as Jonathan Ke Quan) was the kid from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Nica Marie

As a Haim fan of over 30 yrs, I never forget Lucas. Or Firstborn, Silver Bullet, License to Drive, Dream a Little Dream, Prayer of the Rollerboys etc for that matter.

Amberlynn

Two suggestions for you: The Fifth Element and Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Will

I never watched this as a kid. Watching it now as an adult, I thought it was kind of fun, but I didn't *love* it.

Marissa Brady

Oh The Goonies, I have forgotten how much I enjoyed you! Movie suggestions? Where to start? The Original Star Wars Trilogy; The Indiana Jones Trilogy; Ghostbusters; Top Gun; E.T. The Extraterrestrial; The Neverending Story; and Aliens.
