I love it when Psych takes jabs at the Mentalist for copying them lol. Also when Shawn asks Gus what he knows about something and Gus says “What don’t I know?” Lol

I have to say even though Psych is one of my all time favourite shows, I think the Mentalist copying thing is not as fair to the person who created it as people think. The creator of the Mentalist is British, and had the idea of the character based on a famous and very real British entertainer/Mentalist called Derren Brown who he had been watching for a long time. He used many of Derrens tricks in the Mentalist as inspiration, and Derren Brown and Patrick Jane are practically identical in mannerisms and personality. The copying part is true in that the network wanted something to compete, and the brief for the show they wanted had certain elements of Psych. But the creator did not copy Psych, his main character is completely "original" (inspired by a real person, no the character Shawn Spencer at all), and what he created he created independently from Psych. So I do feel for Bruno Heller, as he didn't copy anything like people think he did.
