i try to think about the different seasons as different reinkarnations of Veronica mars, so I don’t have to be disapointed that some seasons differ from previous ones. i love the relashionship stuff of this season, and the more overarching mystery, and I view the episodic mysteries as columbo style stories that are more entertaining that meaningful!

i personally love the humor in this episode!

Also what I like most about this season is that we get to se a Veronica who is happy, who isn’t severly traumatized, who is more of a normal human and less superhero mode all the time!

I think you missed the Logan/Veronica ending scene, which is kind of important, while you were looking up Parker's name.

As was said in comments on previous episodes, the format was changed by the network, the writers and show runners had to go with the change. Ratings were never that good for the show so the network wanted smaller arcs instead of a season arc. It led to a somewhat disjointed season. Season 4 goes back to a season arc.

That was heartbreaking. I understand Logan's concern (Lilly, Logan being indirectly responsible for Beaver raping Veronica, Veronica nearly getting attacked again); Veronica is reckless and Logan doesn't want her to get hurt. OTOH, Veronica has serious trust issues and independence issues, and she can handle a cafeteria fight. Btw, what about Wallace? I don't care for how the show is treating him or Mac. Wallace jumped into the fray and was never addressed again. But yeah, Logan's point about Veronica wanting him to change while refusing to do the same herself -- there is something to that.

Interesting. I did not read Veronica as happy. I read her as overcompensating because of the previous episode, where Keith broke up with Harmony because of Veronica, and Veronica almost got raped, so she's putting on a show for Keith. She feels guilty for making Keith sad, and she's keeping secrets from him. That's how I read her weird behavior.

I tend to like Diane Ruggiero episodes (I think she's the best VM writer), but I do not like this rape storyline, and the stunt casting of Patty Hearst is the worst they've done so far. She is painful to watch. That's all I'll say for now.

One of the most mediocre episodes of the season. The only high point of the episode is Veronica and Logan's problems. I believe (as was said before) that you missed a very important scene at the end with Veronica and Logan, which will play a part in future episodes. Logan saw Veronica screen his call and not answering, which broke him... As people said above, the network forced them to change their style and they went to smaller cases. Season 4 definitely is very focused (what with it being only 8 episodes).

I agree about overcompensating in this episode, I ment more the season in general! to me that is more normal stuff, To be dissapointed with people you love, or having relashionship issues, but she deosn’t strike me as traumatized like she did in previous seasons. Of course she is still affected by it, but she does seem more care free to me, without something heavy on her shoulder like in previousseasons. on the mend, it feels like!
