That scene with Buffy and Angel gets me every time! 😭

Lostmyshoe22

I haven’t watched the videos yet but just wanted to say how excited I was to see them posted. I love this episode of Angel, the Supernatural episode that’s posted and I love Haven so yay for me! I was sitting here kinda’ bored with nothing to do and wasn’t expecting anybody to post today. Nice Christmas present.

Sarah's acting was so good that David Boreanaz tried to calm down SMG and said "Sarah please" right before they went back to the present. Both are amazing in this scene! Sarah though in this one and the hilltop in Amends are 10's.

Ari is my Cat

I think I'm hard on this episode because I was never a fan of the Buffy/Angel romance.

Mariella Nilsson

i totally agreewith you, I want to see that to!

Mariella Nilsson

This show.. when you can say I wonder if this is as good as when she stabs him? So many epic heathbreaking moments!

I wrote a comment about how much he did not like BAngel, to point out how strong everything was in this episode to take someone who did not care for this, still came to this point. I could not word it in a way that did not sound negative.....it is a good thing for everyone involved with this show.

o

I give it a 10 and I am cool with that......

They could not have continued this arc for any longer. Were you are now in how you feel about the Angel and Buffy relationship is were the majority (do not feel alone a lot of people had an issue with the Buffy/Angel relationship) have felt since Buffy 1x 07. What almost made you cry, broke some people in the fandom. That is the strength of the acting, the writing and the depths of this show because it allowed you in the end, to see it for what it was for others. I hope this is not coming across as negative, I mean nothing negative about this at all......this is why I am a fan because this and Buffy are shows that do their job brilliantly........and this Reactor holds them to that standard and I find it all brilliant!!!!!!!

GeekedOutNation

I didn't take this as negative at all. Just your opinion and It did almost get me. Definitely had the watery eyes at the end.

I also give it a 10. No matter how many times I watch this episode, I always cry because the acting is so good. SMG is incredible. Sometimes it's a gentle cry, sometimes it's a full-on ugly cry, depending on my mood.

Alexis Cardarella

Me two minutes into listening to you gripe about Angel and Buffy: God, I hope you cry. Yep, you’re going to end up in tears. *internally rubs hands together in smugness*

DougRaw

Not going to lie, the pure prejudice you went into the episode with soured that start for me, I mean I'm glad you came around on it, but for 15 or so minutes when the episode had barely started telling us what it would be about you were railingggg it. Great reaction overall though, and great episode.

I was really trepidatious about this episode, because I know you're not the biggest fan of the Buffy/Angel stuff. This episode is usually a slam dunk with most reactors, but I kept thinking, "Shit... what if he's just bored the whole time? That would be less than ideal." So, I was very pleasantly surprised with how you responded to the material.

Katherine Thoreson

I always cry at that scene. And I cried again when he did the recap and only showed like 5 seconds of the scene. Ugh I am a mess.

Don't really see how they could turn this into a multiple episode arc without turning Angel's show into Buffy 2.0 and also abandoning the story lines being built up in Sunnydale. You only have so many episodes per season to work with and dedicating multiple episodes to this story line would have to take away from other arcs as well as stopping Angel from developing as its own show without having to rely on Buffy to carry it. Its a solid crossover episode that explored its ideas very well.

I really would've loved if they made it last 3 episodes... solving a few cases together before ultimately rewinding time. But, it's all about contractual obligations. To get the star of one show to be on the other, and vice versa, for 3 or 4 episodes in a row, would be quite costly and probably very difficult to land on agreements. I think they did a good job with the one, though.

I felt how you did at the beginning of this episode because like you I'm not a big Bangel fan. The emotion in this episode are what sold it to me. The theme song for Angel is one of the best. Like you said Buffys is iconic but I do like Angel's better. The song is Sanctuary by Darling Violetta. Heres the full song. awesome.💜 https://youtu.be/bS_5uVJ_bmg

I intensely dislike the Buffy and Angel relationship. (Think Xander in the Zeppo.) An eye roll everytime the theme plays. However, that said. The acting in this episode...even not liking the couple I almost cry at the end. Have to give the episode, actors and writers props for this one.

I know, what I wanted to say. The fact that you gave this episode a "strong 8" is testament like no other about the brilliance of this episode, it gave you a "Non-BAngel" fan a want for this to continue as a story arc. It helped you to understand a part of the fanbase you really had not gotten. I find that brilliant and the beauty of this show. The Characters matter, the Story matters. Once again I do not mean this as a slight, I love your take on this show, you treat these shows with a level of respect, that is pretty cool to witness.
