Could be meningitis. Please see a doctor

It was a simple filler episode, but I think it's the last "weak" episode of the season. Now it's going to pick up considerably.

Edward James Olmos directed it. I think the attempt was to do something light since the show is so dark. It's not the most interesting

Gaius' top priority is saving his own ass. When he had that argument with Six and then got accused of treason by that other Six, it really scared him. I don't think he wants to interfere with the cylons much at this point, for fear of retaliation.

It's pretty obvious why Gaius is just telling everyone that they passed. If you hear that, you're happy and nothing comes of it. If you failed, well, there's a hell of a lot of trouble that's going to ensue, and he doesn't want any part of that. This is a weird episode. It's like a BSG attempt at a comedy of errors. I guess a lot of shows experiment with what they're able to get away with in their initial season. I can't think of another episode that has anything like this vibe for the entire rest of the series.

It’s pretty obvious that Gaius isn’t very rational. His coping mechanism for dealing with his sense of guilt are those hallucinations he keeps having. So his every action must be interpreted based on that.

Hmmm, re the emotion shown by the Six on Caprica... "Alive" is a word that appears to mean a great deal - the Six right at the beginning on the Armistice Station - "Are you alive?" and also the Six in the white coat on Caprica who approached Helo asking him if he was alive. No clue if this was the same Six or if all the Sixes feel this way. Ellen Tigh is a major cow. Deeply manipulative and seems to have absolutely no regard for how her behaviour affects others.

Hazel Angus

Tigh is pronounced like "tie". I wonder if the Cylon Raider was gathering intel to pass back to the other Cylons, like Starbuck said. Since it then aimed to crash into the Galactica, I wonder if there was a link somewhere - some kind of signal it was broadcasting back to the other Cylons. Don't know how advanced its brain is. The Sharon on Caprica - try calling her Caprica-Sharon instead, I would, rather than Earth-Boomer. Earth is where the mythical 13th colony went, that was written about in the scriptures, the place they all believe they are aiming for. Well, other than Adama, Roslin and I think Apollo knows his father was lying about that as well.

The whole thing after the credits where they show glimpses into the episode are only season 1. I’m not sure if they got feedback about it back in the day or what, but once season 2 starts there is none of that. Once the credits are over it goes right back into the episode. I only say this so when you get to season 2 you don’t accidentally skip actual episode footage after the credits. Edit: been rewatching it and season 2 episode 5 they do it again. So strange. So for whatever reason they stopped it for 2x01 - 2x04.
