It was Lilly's spirit saving Veronica. Think of it as Lilly being a guardian angel in this moment. I personally loved that scene and it gave me goosebumps the first time I saw it. It was a nice nod to the previous season imo.

I saw veronica Mars way before buffy the vampire slayer and it took me a long time to forget her character in this show before I started liking her on buffy.

Welcome to season 2! The purpose of the drug test mystery is just to pull Veronica back into sleuthing. Please note that the journalism teacher is the first America's Next Top Model contestant who appears on this season. Why? She won the acting challenge and this was her prize. A fun game might be if you can spot the other ANTM contestants who appear this season.

Good reaction. Great episode, marred for me only by the increasing presence of Duncan (I really can't stand his character and the actor... i'm not sure if it's the actor that i have a problem with or the character... probably both). But this episode has a fantastic ending. One of the more memorable scenes of the show.

Everyone loves S1, and for good reason - the season mystery is so tightly written and on rewatch, the breadcrumbs to the killer are masterful. That said, I personally prefer S2. It is more complex, layered and deals with moral shades of grey in a fascinating way. And I will NOT spoil you on the outcome, but I think the pathway to the final mystery (mysteries? 😉) resolution is brilliant. As soon as it was revealed I was like ZOMG THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. Happy watching!
