So they didn’t want to rob the houses that they had nannies in so that they avoided suspicion. Also the biggest proof was the fact that they had camera access to things they weren’t supposed to and all of the monitors were on houses that were next door to the houses that were robbed. I agree it’s not airtight but Psych is a comedy first and foremost of course so not everything will fit perfectly. But there’d still be enough proof to arrest. :)

I agree that the mystery this ep was a bit weak but I also think that the focus of the ep was more about furthering Shawn and Gus' relationship with the Chief. Between the fact that all the robbed homes were next to nanny homes plus the fact that the guy was ID'd as the man at the reptile store, I'd agree that they had enough to arrest for the usual 48 hour holding period while they investigated the nanny agency owners even more. After that point, it's wasted air time to show them getting completely investigated.

Even though Psych is in my top 3 tv shows of all time (the other being Firefly and either BSG or American horror story), I do agree that the actual investigation part might sometimes not be the best. However, for me Psych is mainly about the interaction between the characters and just the love they show for other movies, tv shows, music etc. That last part gets more and more developed as the show goes on :)
