I'm so glad you loved this one. And yes, Jason Dohring's acting is impressive. He was able to make me hate him from very his first scene in the first episode to making me feel so much sympathy for him in this one.

Katesaber

This is the episode that really sold me on the series. Even my mother got hooked on it after this.

This is another great episode. For me the next one is even better, as it is sort of like a conclusion to one of the stories. Go on strong!

Inseriousity

I love Adam Scott in Parks and Rec and I love Veronica so I think I was a little biased in believing their side. Why, Ben, Why?! This episode has the greatest intro ever with the funny, light-hearted quiz with a cool teacher then that relevation haha

The reason I love this ep is that it shows Veronica’s fallibility. She’s not perfect, she’s still a teenager with biases, unable to separate her own experiences from the bigger picture. It’s a huge lesson for her, and Keith being pretty much perfect is also a great moment here.

This is a weird episode to watch post-#MeToo, but I understand why Veronica takes the teacher's side. In addition to her own biases and emotions about Carrie influencing her, Mr. Rooks is one of the very few adults/authority figures she still admires and trusts. But also, Veronica's spidey sense is triggered that Carrie is lying, but she's lying for a heroic reason: Susan, like most girls, is too afraid to come forward and with good reason, as we see. Another dose of reality for Veronica, who thinks she's so worldly. I love that Keith immediately believes Carrie. And poor Logan. That video was horrifying. Even Eli got angry. And Adam Scott is great in everything. Last thing: the three players at odds are named Rooks, Knight, and Bishop. Checkmate.

Fly on the Wall

I think this episode showed how grey things can be. I don't even think it's fair to say this is because of her being a teen either because she wasn't entirely wrong either. Carrie was in fact lying.

By now you know how much this episode ties into the movie.
