"No power in the verse can stop me" is what Kaley said to River when she got her apple back from her at the start of the episode. The point of that was that River saw no difference between playing and killing.

There was a call back to Jayne betraying the crew. It was small but it was mentioned that it was strange that he was being so generous with his money buying apples for the whole crew.

I'm really liking your reactions to these. As for the " No power in the verse can stop me" line was a call back to Kaylee earlier when she won the apple off River she said it playfully. So River said it back to Kaylee as if playing.💜

I like when Mal and Wash are blindfolded Wash is talking fast and nervous and Mal is finding the size of the room by counting steps and feeling the shape of the room. Something you can see an experienced soldier doing. Great small bit of character work.
