This was the beginning of me falling in love with this show. I don't know how I how I could rate it anything less than a 9 lol. Please keep watching Supernatural, given that they have had 13 seasons they have had to get very creative and it has been awesome to watch.

I watch a lot of Supernatural Reaction videos. I LOVE this show. It's my favorite show and Sam and Dean are my favorite characters of any medium. I know that may seem like a surprise after seeing this pilot, but it's true. It is the little show that could. Season 1 is mostly Monster of the Week, and some episodes are not very good, to be honest. But I promise that the show gets better and better every season. By the end of Season 1 you'll see the promise there. They have always kept monster of the week episodes, but it's within an overriding main story arc. And it doesn't keep you hanging for year after year. There is a beginning and an end either every season, or every few season's. Then they start a new story arc. There are a LOT of fans who flock to Reaction videos of the early seasons. The only issue is that YouTube and WBTV are really tough about copyright and love to block videos.

I only started watching Supernatural two years ago (I've seen every season but 12) and I love watching new people get into it. Your reactions and sense of wonder in the show are very enjoyable to watch.

Heya Steven. Well after a few Dr Who eps, now I'm over here to Supernatural. I think you are really going to like this show. You are doing a great combo of show reactions at the mo - Buffy is amy all time favourite obsessive fandom show :D :D - and Supernatural and Doctor Who are 2 of my other favourites. Yup, I definitely reckon that scene is an homage to Christine (1983), directed by John Carpenter and based on the novel by Stephen King. The car in the film is a vintage 1958 Plymouth Fury and despite the 9 year difference, has a similar style to Dean's 1967 Chevy Impala we see here - especially when looking head on at the front grill in the dark. I'm not into cars, but I do love the vintage cars on my favourite shows - Spike's car is a 1959 Desoto Fireflite.

The biggest suspension of disbelief for me isn't the ghosts or burning ceiling ladies, it's that Sam made a 174 on the LSAT. I mean he must have racked up more than one concussion prior to Stanford, how on earth is he in the 99th percentile?

I came here for Nikita, but found out you're doing Supernatural too? Another one of my favorite shows of all time (CW has a lot of good shows, even the Vampire Diaries gets crazy good after the first few eps). I will say that most fans encourage others to watch seasons 1-5 of SPN but I say go all the way. Yeah it's a long ass show but if you want to stop you can at the end of Season 5 since that's where the creator finished his story

I don't like how they've replaced the music in the show on Netflix. I get why - AC/DC is too expensive to licence and they didn't licence it for catch up services as they never existed back then. For me it makes some episodes unwatchable lol! I have the early season DVDs at least.

The different music is throwing me off. Supernatural has ICONIC music moments...It's one part of what makes the show whole. But hey, I'm glad you enjoyed this episode and I'm glad you've continued this series. It's my ultimate show.
