So FUN FACT: Elizabeth Anne Allen (Amy) originally auditioned to play Buffy. Obviously she didn’t get that part, but it’s nice they found something for her to do. Other actresses who originally auditioned to play Buffy but ended up playing someone else on the show: Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) Mercedes McNab (Harmony, Cordelia’s blond friend) Julie Benz (Darla) Well-known actresses who auditioned to play Buffy but never appeared on the show: Selma Blair Katie Holmes Actresses who did NOT audition for the role of Buffy: Sarah Michelle Gellar. She originally auditioned to play Cordelia, but they ended up casting her as Buffy.

The fun thing about the Creature of the week episodes is that you never know if they are true one offs or if the creature or other background characters will pop up again.

Once you realize that Amy and her mom switched body, it’s fun to go back and rewatch the episode and spot all the clues. Basically everything that “Amy” says is relevant. And the episode title is actually “witch” without the article, it’s a play on the word related to the twist in the main plot. Which is the witch? which is the mother? Which is the daughter?

Good episode eh, great twist at the end with the Freaky Friday thing. So far, no reactor I've seen has seen it coming.
