Its odd to me how you seem to just not hear things that go against what you believe is or should be going on. You were saying Merideth and Denny were only saying she should survive or care about Dereck when Denny went through the whole thing about the traumas the others have had in life and that her dying would break them. When Merideth was saying that she couldn't be without them and said specifically not derrick, not christina you only latched on to the Dereck. its kind of weird sometimes. Also, I completely understand Derek blaming Ellis and himself.He was in a way already grieving. He thinks her going into the water could have been intentional so he blames Ellis for all of the emotional damage she did to Merideth. As far as blaming himself and saying he should have been there and seen the signs that you say were not obvious enough to be realistic...To me that is 100% realistic from his side. It is what people do.They want to make sense of it,they feel guilty like they should have known or they should have stopped it and seen the signs even if there weren't any obvious signs to see.The signs weren't in your face overt but that doesn't change the loved one,Dereck,from feeling that he somehow should have known anyway.

man that episode was painfully boring. im not into any of the current storylines. and they've completely ruined izzie's character.
