Don't worry, Brian. I'm not offended that you thought that one Slayer was a bloke lol. She's quite tall and lean so I get that from a certain angle, with how fast paced it was, you might have thought that for a second. This episode is FANTASTIC but I think my fav moment of this episode is when Spike awkwardly patted Buffy on the back at the end, like "there, there" LOL. He's so socially awkward he doesn't know what to do. I can relate. Not really for or against a Buffy/Spike thing, but I will say that I find it VERY interesting that Spike, who is still soulless by the way, despite his chip, is able to cry and feel emotions beyond anger and lust and, regardless of how weird it is, had started developing feelings for Buffy. Like, he was genuinely hurt that she said he was beneath her. Angelus was very different when he was soulless. He was psychotic. It's interesting to me that vampires are kind of different even from each other in Buffy lore.

I watch a YouTube channel that deep dives into each of Buffy’s episodes. He has a cool fan theory that explains why some vampires like Spike and Harmony seem more human emotionally, and others like Angelus seem like a completely separate person from the original human, devoid of humanity entirely. His theory is that when their soul is ripped away, it is either completely ripped away without a trace like Angelus, or it can leave an imprint, causing them to be more in touch with their old self.
