Man, I am just NOT a Christopher fan. Right at the beginning of the episode, we see Lorelai calling his old number and getting an automated response for his new number. This is his kid and the mother of his kid. He's moved to a new city, moved in w a serious girlfriend and settled in at a new job, all of which took time, but he couldn't take 5 minutes in all that time to give em a call to let em know "hey, changed my number cuz I moved!" He's the very definition of deadbeat dad. He met Dean last time he was in town (which, if I'm not mistaken and correct me if I am, is his first time in Stars Hollow in all 16yrs of his kid's life even though she's lived there for 15 out of 16 years), but even if he hadn't, he doesn't have a single right to ask Dean anything. That right belongs to Lorelai alone.

I've never been a fan of Lorelai saying "we did good" when it comes to Rory because Christopher did nothing. Lorelai did it all. And then, at the end of this episode, she wants to give him credit...for WHAT, exactly?? Doing the bare minimum and showing up for one event in their kid's life? Please. And Lorelai always gets this misty eyed look like "oh no, he's the one that got away"...girl, YOU should run away from him. Okay? Like, he was too lazy to do anything for the benefit of his own daughter because he didn't like responsibility, but he was willing to change his life completely for a girlfriend? So he had the capability to do it but he just wasn't interested in it enough for Rory. Idk Christopher just BUGS me. Maybe it's just me lol
