Ludwig's updated expression sheet + Update 5 devlog and changes (Patreon)

Hey hey!
Whew, here we are again. Another devlog with updates to keep people informed. This time, we've got a few changes of plan coming, but a lot of hecking exciting stuff too!
First and foremost, look up to see Ludwig's updated expression sheet. I should have posted this earlier after Update 4 but no one reminded me! I don't actually know how many people even want to see it, but I hope it's a nice perk to enjoy. He's got some fun new ones in his day. ;)
Now, onto the more interesting stuff. I'll cover the biggest topic first.
Change of plans!
I can't say I didn't predict this as a possibility, but I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. Still, when writing and making the story, I often try to keep things somewhat short and succint, but sometimes fail. I just end up finding that there's more I want to show, tell and cover, and that takes time (and word length!). Unfortunately, length translates to exponentially more work for me to put it all together visually later and that makes things tricky. Development ends up taking longer and I would like to update you guys more frequently. I believe that shorter, more frequent updates are more interesting than waiting for months and months for a relatively sizeable one.
Edwin's day, though similar to Ludwig's day in terms of events and all, ended up becoming more developed and complicated mainly also because of the addition of our two new characters. I wanted to feature them properly and, as such, they each have a space in the day and a lot more interaction (they both each ended up needing more assets than Gunther!). I want to go through all of it and still keep all of the planned Edwin's goodies, including consequences for choices made both in this update and before it (hint hint).
In order to make all of this a reality and still keep the updates coming in a timely manner, I've decided to split Edwin's day into two updates!
Calm down, though! That doesn't necessarily mean four months! I'm still trying to stick with my loose two-month schedule, which by the way is coming to a quick close, and with the intention of releasing Update 5 in the next few weeks, I decided to release the first part of it, which will cover hmm... I think about 60-70% of the day, now with Update 5 very soon and then, after that, I'll keep working to finish up the day in what I intend to be a shorter, quicker update that will come soon after. Kind of like... an Update 5.5? I don't know how I'll call it yet.
And neither does that mean a shorter update! It's not completely done yet script-wise, but this update is going to end up amounting close to the length of the previous updates so far, which have all been quite large. Edwin's day just ended up having a lot going on. And we'll get to see a bunch of the new guys as well. ;)
Anyway, that's the plan!
And what else will be included?
Another reason for the split was that, alongside Edwin's day turning out to be much bigger, the extra features I wanted to include in it are also on the making and taking some time. They'll be worth it, though!
Of all the features I've already talked about that are coming in the next Updates, I can now confirm with certainty that Demons Within's first CG will come with this first part of Update 5! Blain and I have worked extra hard to test the waters with this CG and make it into so much more than just a CG. We've learned a lot and, as awesome as I believe this one is coming out to be, we have the tools so that the next ones will be even more awesome!
I've already talked a bit about it here or there. Just to reiterate, the first CG will not be related to the content of this new update, but rather cover a scene that has already happened but is very, very important. That being, Resnick's transformation with Lust. I'll make a new post talking more about this new CG in the near future! The previews tier is already getting updates and I have a few more to give, but this is such a big deal that I'll give some smaller previews and updates to everyone else as well. It'll be awesome! ;)
On the rest, I'll cram as much as I can into this first part of Update 5 as well. I'll fit all I can with the intention of still releasing it in the appropriate time, which is loosely in the next 2 weeks.
This is it! Actually now having written this I realize this is more of a news post than a devlog... I guess the devlog part would be me saying that this update will feature a LOT of new art, that the writing is going well and on its way to being done, and that today I wrote Resnick being under a big boar. In what way? Wait a few weeks and find out! Or speculate...
There's a lot coming in this new update and it's closer than people realize! Next week will probably have a bunch more previews and the devlogs might speed up. I'll keep you all posted!
