I'm sooooo excited to start Peach and Daisy! Here is a big heap of the trims and junk we compiled for them! Most of these trims are from our combined stock piles but two or 3 are new from New York yesterday. Today we're just playing around with layering and brainstorming. We won't know for sure what pieces we're gonna use where until we are a little farther on in the process.

We want the doublets to be VERY close to Peach and Daisy's smash bros bodices. They will be satin with a panel of white pleated fabric in the center, same as them, but it will extend up into the shoulder instead of being cut off at the bust. There will also be side panels with the contrasting darker color, same as Peach has on her bodice. Peach will have a collar and a Jabot (the frilly neck thing Lio has) and Daisy will have a ruff (the high neck collar ruffle thing you see in the Tudor Era). Since the girls have pretty simple and clean bodices and then skirts with lots of layers, trims, and lace, we want to translate that into almost identical doublets with paneled puff pants with piping along the edge of each panel and layers of scalloped lace around the leg whole. We'll be using velvet for the panels.

Peach will have elbow length gloves with a thick cuff while Daisy will have wrist length gloves with a scalloped edge. Daisy will have thigh high musketeers boots while Daisy will have tights and small healed shoes. Peach will have an ankle length cape (I haven't decided how I would like it to he draped yet) while Daisy will have a mid thigh length cape.

We have a few exciting ideas about adding LEDs in places and a few different props, but I don't want to get too into those get because they are in the very early brainstorming stage.

Tomorrow, we're going to start the day patterning for a few hours. Our plan is to use Tori's puff pants pattern and cut it down to ve a little smaller but more tightly packed with tool. From there, we can drape the panels.
