Barbatos Wing Circle Breakdown (Patreon)

The golden circles on Barbatos's wings are probably the most inconsistent part of his entire outfit. There is not a single panel of the manga or artwork from the game where the circles are even similar. The number of points change, the placements of the points change, the size changes, the angels change, whether they are on both the front and back of his wings or just the front change, and most confusingly, whether they are one flat piece or several floating layers change. Because of this, I didn't want to go too crazy over the top with the circles. I know there will be a 3d model eventually and there's no sense in spanding weeks constructing a multi-floating-layer piece that I'm just going to have to remake once there is a 3d render, so I decided to pick my favorite elements from the manga panels where the circles look flat and go from there. 


The circles are simply a few layered pieces of craft foam once again covered in the same matching 4 way stretch fabric and black vinyl for the black details. To stick the circles to the wings, I used rare earth magnets on the back of the circles and hidden under the feathers of my wings. This way, the wings can still be used for any other winged cosplay.
