I know there are lots of tutorials on how to make animal ears but I kinda just did my own thing and I'm really happy with how the ears turned out!

To start, I pulled up a picture of a deer ear on Google images. I traced the outline and then fiddled with the shape until the folded over bits looked correct. This took a bit if trial and error. I included the ear pattern I ended up for those of y'all who need a simple deer ear shape.

I traced the pattern onto worbla and used a heat gun to gently bend them into the shape of wanted. Then I traced the pattern onto some light brown fur and cut them out using a box cutter.

To trim the fur down, I used a pair of electric clippers. It's best to do this outside with a mask on so you don't breathe in the tiny fibers.

I tried the method of cutting out two pieces of fur and sewing them together but the final shape was just too bulky for my taste.  Instead, I painted the inside of the ears and used spray on adhesive to stick a thin layer of the fuzz I shaved off of the fur. This gave the inside of the ears a fuzzy look and feel without any extra bulk.

I glued the fur to the ears using a glue gun, gluing some of the fur over it's edge to blend it into the inside of the ear. Then I use the clippers to go back in and get the fur as short as possible.

To finish the ears, I used eyeshadow and a comb to brush color into the fur gradienting from dark brown at the bottom up into an orange that matches Beau. I set the eyeshadow using got 2 be hairspray and glued some long white fur into the inside of the ears.

There's a number of ways to make the ears wearable, but I honestly just glued them to a headband.

Hopefully this breakdown makes sense! If anyone has any questions, please comment below and I'll try to answer the best I can!
