Patterning and Car Crash Updates (Patreon)

I started working on the Gerudo top over the weekend to distract myself from the stress of the car crash. Patterning the top was pretty simple. I'm happy-ish with the final result. The dupioni silk I made the top out of was pretty difficult to sew and the pattern pieces got a bit distorted, but I can clean up the wonky edges with the trims that will be going on the top and bottom. The applique pieces are also color shifting dupioni that I ironed on with heat and bond. I can't decide if I want to border them or leave the edges raw yet. I still have to iron on the side designs and then I'll be moving on to the trims and gold pieces.


As for the car crash, I'm still physically okay but the situation is extremely stressful. The repair shop is now telling me that there is a ton of hidden damages and the  damages are not just cosmetic like we first thought and now the cost of repairing the car is going to be more than the car is worth so I have to wait to see what Allstate wants to do about it. I still have 4 years left paying off the loan on this car so I'm pretty fucking stressed out and devastated.


Right now, all I can do is wait and try to make as much money as I can at work and distract myself at home with sewing.
