Once the base was built, all I really had to do was glue in some cheap battery powered LEDs from Amazon! I ran into a little bump in the road when the wires fell apart... The consequences of using the cheapest LEDs online. I had to buy another set but it worked out alright. I liked these LEDs in particular because they are remote controlled and have a ton of colors and modes and speeds! After the LEDs were in, it was just a matter of cleaning up the silhouette with worbla and wood filler and then painting and decorating. They survived the night just fine, but I had to take them off half way through because they were sliding back. I stabilized them to my wig by screwing the headpiece directly to my in 4 places and wearing a no slip band under my wig as well as a million Bobby pins, but the back heady design was still too back heavy to stay in place with all the jumping and dancing I was doing. I want to wear Wannacry again for EDC but I need to modify the headphones a bit. I think they need to just be worn like regular headphones instead of floating off the back of my head. It was a cool concept, but really hard to excecute due to gravity. Maybe if they were 3d printed and hollow, they would be light weight enough to float off the back of my head and not slip but 🤷
