So I got a lot of questions about how to tease wigs for volume and how to make the big three dimensional shapes. Basically I use this kind of teasing brush and comb the hair the wrong way towards the roots to create a big messy frizzy ball of ball of poof, Hairspray the crap out of it, lay neat untouched hair over the frizz ball, and then hair spray again. When I'm making the shapes like peach's bangs, for example, I use the pointy end of the comb to manipulate the ball of fuzz before I hairspray it. I push certain parts down Pull certain parts up, and basically make a sculpture out of hair until I get the shape I kind of want. Usually this process takes a while. I'm almost never happy with the results on the first try and so I keep breaking down the shape and doing it over and over and over again until I get what I like. It gets easier the more you work it because all of the hairspray covering the let's make them more coarse and textured and easier to manipulate into a gravity-defying shape. However, you don't want to redo the clean top layer too many times because then the hair that is supposed to be nice and neat on top becomes straw-like and nasty to which kind of happened on the front of my wig.
