I got this idea from pancakelover69 so credit to them!! (flash warning for their video)

Originally I wanted to tween this like they did with theirs, but it was really tedious to get how I wanted so I just kinda went back to hand drawing lol

I rendered the body as a flat png sequence, then rendered a separate png sequence for the tail lines and fill color (solid). This way I could do the gradient in After Effects as a vector and layer a star texture on top!

Final:

total time: like 3 days animating; 3 1/2 days total give or take
