We are at episode 7, which means just 3 more to go! This one I found quite difficult to watch. It's clear to see that the soldiers have been through so much, mentally and physically. A lot of them really have reached their breaking point and to see them suffer hurts me to watch 😔

I hope you all are having a good day 💜

This is definitely one of the tougher ones to watch. Probably not the toughest though :/. By all accounts Lt Dike was a flawed man and leader, but how he is portrayed in the show is not really representative of the man in real life. We have to remember that these are TV shows - much like theater, things are exaggerated, events and characters are made slightly greater-than-life because it's better storytelling. According to the wiki, he performed numerous acts of bravery and was awarded a Bronze Star in Holland for organizing scattered paratroopers in the defense of an important crossroad and repelling numerous attacks while surrounded. He received a second Bronze Star at Bastogne for personally removing three injured men from the front line while in full view of the enemy and under intense small arms fire. In the attack on Foy he did stop and lose command but only after being shot in the shoulder, and not from panic. He recovered and was later transferred to the regimental headquarters. He also served in Korea later and died in 1989.
