I really enjoyed this one. This episode mostly focused on Private Blithe and I loved seeing him grow courage throughout the episode. Very good episode and I hope you enjoy as well 💜

(p.s. I just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone for your love and understanding this past week or so. It's been hard for me but I am doing okay and knowing that everyone here has been so kind and lovely has honestly helped me so much 🥰)

No that was... Nixon: No, that you think we're gonna make it back to England... (said to Harry Welsh)

Wow, that episode was amazing. And intense! Just when it looked like there was no hope left for our heroes, their backup arrived and just obliterated the enemy forces. It was very sad to see how traumatised Blithe was, and that he didn't make it out. I'm sure there were thousands upon thousands of men who's story mirrored his own. So sad. I'm loving watching this series for the first time along with you Juliette, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what might happen in the next episode.

But Nixon has his moodswings, you got that right. ; ) But he was also badass. "he was given a map by Winters, detailing all the German artillery positions in Normandy, and, realizing its importance, ran 3 miles to Utah Beach to pass it up the chain of command. Command was so thrilled with the map, that they sent the first two tanks that landed at Utah Beach to aid the 101st. This not showing in EPISODE 2 but did happen.
