I hope you all had a lovely weekend! It was pretty quiet for me, I tried to not do TOO much work (though I think by now I have some sort of workaholic problem and need intervention haha) and enjoyed a lovely meal out on Saturday. I had mushroom gnocchi which apparently had some truffle on it, and I know from watching Masterchef that's meant to be fancy. They could have easily have left it off as I don't even know what it tastes like. In fact, they probably did leave it off 🤣

I hope you enjoy this next episode of Angel 💜

At the end when you said they're Angel's family, I had a flashback to when Wes and Cordy were hospitalised in season one and he called them his family 💔 Angel's definitely a hard one to read, especially with everything going on right now. I've often wondered what happened to Gunn's former crew though since they were all practically family as well. As for stopping at the shelter, I'm sure they did that for the plot, but it could have been written better. Maybe it could have worked more if they had the cops block them off or set up barricades that they heard over the radio so they had no choice but to go to the shelter, but that's just my two cents lol. Side note: I try and keep my comments more vague because I know you don't like spoilers, even for the current episode, so if my comments aren't vague enough, please let me know and I can edit them and do better next time 😊

The Angel we see in this/previous episodes reminds me of the Angel we saw before Whistler/being introduced to Buffy. His failure to rescue Darla really was a setback to his mental state. I don't like seeing the group at odds either, but I do like seeing that Wes, Cordy and Gunn still have formed such a cohesive unit.

Oh yes, I agree!! The one benefit of Angel going all rogue is that it's brought Cordy, Wes and Gunn so close together 💜

Aww Melanie, thank you!! I appreciate you checking. I think as long as we talk about the current episode and previous, we should be fine 💜 Yeah, Gunn's former crew must feel a bit weird. He does still see them from time to time, but didn't he used to live there with them? They were a family unit, really. I think since what happened to Gunn's sister, he might have just wanted to leave that part of his life behind, but it does also feel like abandoning his former mates, too. Hmm 😔
