Woolly Aphid Fairy - V2 (Patreon)

Hey everybody! :D Thank you all so much for your feedback on my last color palette post! I went for the second palette now and also expanded on the design a bit and made some small fixes on the face! I'm MUCH happier with it now :D 

And SURPRISE!

This fairy is based on a Leaf Louse! Or more precisely: A Woolly Aphid! These fairy-like aphids are a family of species you can find all over the world and all share the same trait of being fluffy, tiny glittering little flies! 

And I'm basically pulling a MILOTIC by having a fat little goat-like louse evolve into this majestic beauty :D The chonky little fella is based on a related species, a black bean aphid! Alltho to be honest they're based on a variety of aphids that ants herd and domesticate.
I wanted my Ant-Fakemon to have some cattle so I made this little guy a mix of a Leaf louse and a goat / sheep with its big horns instead of antlers! Ants tend to clip the wings of leaf lice to prevent them from flying away, so that's why the wings of the poor little fella are chipped :(

The chonky goat-bugs can ONLY evolve if a trainer captures them from a domesticated herd and cares for it long enough for the wings to recover. Only once the wings have fully regrown can it evolve into its final fairy-stage!

Still need to do the lineart for the goat-bug plus the shading, then I can move on to the Pokedex Cards!
