Sorry, I totally forgot to mention that a couple of additional films have now hit one year in the polls. They are: I Walked With a Zombie and The Thief and the Cobbler. Also since Steve Carlson hasn't yet submitted a new request I'll note again that Hickey & Boggs qualified in case he missed that news. Look for reviews of those pictures in the...near-ish future. (I need to stay on top of it because several more are looming.)

In regards to <i>The Thief and the Cobbler</i>, are you going to watch <i>The Recobbled Cut</i> version?

I am currently unfamiliar with the options. Isn’t <i>Thief and the Cobbler</i>, under that title, already reconstructed from <i>Arabian Knight</i> to represent Williams’ original vision? I wasn’t unaware that there’s additional director’s-cutting on top of that.

AFAIK, the version released as THE THIEF AND THE COBBLER is still ARABIAN KNIGHT (the Miramax version). THE RECOBBLED CUT is a fan edit based on Williams' original workprint and incorporating the pencil tests and storyboards to represent his vision as closely as possible: http://orangecow.org/ocpfanprojects.html (But I'm not an expert, so I'm welcome to hear any corrections.)

If I’m gonna watched Recobbled (and it seems as if I should), maybe I should wait for the forthcoming updated version, just as I held off on <i>Out of the Blue</i> knowing that a Blu-ray was in the works.
