Not a lot of time at the moment, as I'm about to drive my sister to the airport. (Some of you will recall my mentioning that I'm house- and dogsitting for her in San Francisco starting now through May, while she's in South Africa.) Things'll be back to normal immediately thereafter—I've spent the past couple of days helping her get ready—and my Anchorman review is coming very soon. For now:

• The Last Laugh won this week's request poll, receiving 46% of the vote in a three-way race against Prisoners (32%) and Smile '75 (21%). Last seen by me in 1995, when I thought it a masterpiece; streaming via Kanopy and rentable elsewhere.

• As you can see above, Broken Blossoms and Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes landed atop the monthly random drawing. The former had eight weeks in the poll quite a long time ago; the latter was currently active, in its 15th week. You can find Griffith's classic (which I previously saw in 1992) on Amazon Prime and Paramount Plus and I guess now there's an MGM Plus? News to me. Also Tubi and Kanopy and everywhere really. Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes is also on Prime (and Tubi and Vudu), plus a super-cheap rental for some reason.

• Also now on my docket is Dadetown, which hit one year in the polls this week and thus qualifies automatically. (Surprised that one never got any traction, though I guess maybe it's not very well known nowadays. Possible 90+, I gave it my rare four Maltin stars back in the day.) There are a lot of year-long auto-qualifiers coming up, btw. I'm impressed by the patience many of you possess.

• Thank you—yes, you, specifically—for your support. As ever, I'm honored and grateful.

Okay, got through all that without my sister yelling that we need to motor. (Her flight is still over four hours from now and the airport's like a 15-minute drive, but she's one of those paranoid folks who has to be there ultra-early, and the distance of this flight has only intensified that urgency.) Wittier again next time!
