Baby, Remember My Name! Last week's lopsided loser becomes this week's lopsided winner, taking 61% of the vote opposite Snake Eyes. Must admit that I was rooting hard for this result—not just because I kinda hated De Palma's film back in '98 (ironically, the show-offy opening shot was the one thing I praised), but because I've been wanting to watch Alan Rudolph's early stuff for ages. Held off for a long time waiting in vain for them to turn up in NYC rep. (See also: early George Armitage.) To my surprise, Remember My Name is all over the place: Amazon Prime, Tubi, the freakin' Roku Channel. Hoping for bliss.
