One of these days, y’all will get my weird contrarian Silence of the Lambs opinion, in more detail than most of you likely want. This week, however, only 45% of voters clamored for it, while the other 55% opted for Valley Girl, a very early Nic Cage vehicle that I’ve somehow never gotten around to watching. Actually I guess it can’t really be a “vehicle” for you if you’re still unknown. Anyway, here’s hoping I enjoy this Martha Coolidge picture more than I did previous poll winner Real Genius, and that I’m not compelled to write another review that elicits a chorus of boos. It’s streaming on Amazon Prime and Hoopla (subject to local library) and, somewhat improbably, the Criterion Channel.
