[Just the aftermath, which is all I could find. This scene I did vote for—sexiest damn thing I've seen in ages, best chapter by far—and I'm pleased that I helped to push it above (joke for my fellow old-timers here) The Girl, the Light Switch & Everything.

HISTORY:

Baker placed 9th for The Florida Project four years ago. Workin' his way up.

All four actors—yep, including Cumberbatch—are new. Campbell's superb performance can now be seen via U.S. MUBI, FYI. Shibukawa played the professor/author in "Door Wide Open"; Park played the actor who performs in sign language (an aspect of Drive My Car that others loved more than I'd realized prior to these results coming in).

Hansen-Løve's screenplay for Father of My Children landed at #13 in 2010. She didn't place in Screenplay for Eden or Things to Come, though both made the cut in Picture.

And Cumberbatch gets the snub as well, despite 12 voters. Very excited to see the nominees.

I'll be addressing this in a future post, but today's scene is actually #5, not #7. I failed to recognize a 15-point vote for it that described it as "Wedding crasher," having forgotten that it (apparently) takes place at a wedding reception and not just some random party. So it's actually one of the Scene "nominees" (though I never list those in the big nominee post, coming tomorrow).
