Cremator fans (and/or the Cremator-curious) managed to get it heads-up again this week, where it was beaten again—this time by The Train, which pulled in 54% of the vote. (Frankenheimer's sequel to The French Connection coincidentally got randomly selected last week, so he's on a roll.) I saw and very much liked it back in 1996, with my memory more positive than its current placement (#10) on my '64 list would suggest. We'll see whether or not it rises (or falls). Rentable from various platforms.

Next up after Spencer on the not-really-interested-but-I-feel-obligated beat: Belfast.

Forgot to vote, but would've gone with The Cremator. Don't get me wrong: The Train rules and I'm mixed on The Cremator. But the latter is much more likely to generate an interesting take and/or a sharp reaction. I can see a >80 or <50 rating on The Cremator. The Train will be a humdrum 76.

Also the Train is free on Tubi if you can stomach sloppy commercial breaks.

I predict you like FRENCH CONNECTION II more than THE FRENCH CONNECTION.
