...with Possession—the Zulawski freakout, not the uncharacteristic Neil LaBute literary adaptation—handily besting Kurosawa's The Bad Sleep Well in this week's head-to-head matchup. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be streaming anywhere at the moment. But if one is determined and shady, it is...well, let's just say "possessable." ("Possessible?" Neither actually seems to be a word.) 

Curse of the Cat People review coming soon. Probably Saturday. (Fiend Without a Face I watched on my own, not because of Halloween but because I'm working my way through unrated Criterion releases by spine number and it happened to be the next one. Lucky timing.)

Really looking forward to your take on POSSESSION, which I wasn't even sure I liked on first viewing but would now count among my top ten '80s films. If nothing else I feel confident predicting you won't be bored.

Very curious too, especially considering that I think Possession shares some DNA with the Suspiria remake, which Mike didn't care for AT ALL.
