I confess that I was rooting for Wake in Fright (which I've never seen) to defeat Seven (which I love but have seen multiple times) in this week's request poll, and indeed it did, by a healthy 10-point margin. Looks like it's currently streaming on Amazon Prime. Again, I know essentially nothing about it, apart from having become increasingly conscious of its strong reputation over the past decade or so. Pretty excited.

FYI and unrelated: I see that movie theaters are starting to reopen in many U.S. cities, and that some of my peers/friends have either gone or have plans to go. While I'm not judging anyone who makes that decision, you're not gonna be seeing my Tenet review—or thoughts on any other film that opens exclusively on the big screen—until it becomes available to watch at home. For at least the rest of this year, in all likelihood. Were I a little more flush at the moment, I might buy the occasional unused ticket online, just to support the theater business; sitting in any enclosed space with any significant number of others, however, isn't something I intend to do until after I've been vaccinated. Does not seem worth the risk to me. There's no movie I can't wait a few months to see.

Unrelated q: do you have any plans to pick back up the best-of-decade countdown you were doing on Twitter some months back before the BLM protests began to surge?

Proudly chiming in with back-to-back wins (and my sixth overall) for the weekly poll. Also excited to know what you'll think of this one! The tensest take on Australia's outback life.

I would love to go see Tenet and Bond in IMAX, but I'm out of the theater until the vaccine too. I'm hoping they'll bring the event flicks back to IMAX for quick runs next year if the vaccine happens.

Do I have plans to do so? Yes. Will I ever do so? Not thus far... (As I've noted to others, there's a thing I want to write to accompany any resumption and I keep putting it off because it's kind of a minefield.)
