Real pathos at the polls, as the presence of a third option failed to prevent Original Cast Album: Company from losing a squeaker for the third consecutive week. I note that one of you upgraded to the voting tier shortly before the deadline, perhaps to cast a tie-breaking vote for Aguirre: The Wrath of God (currently streaming on the Criterion Channel). The Professional aka Leon, which has itself previously come up short in at least one face-off (maybe more than one; I forget), finished a very distant third. Anyway, this is starting to feel a bit cruel, and I may just exert my executive privilege and watch the Pennebaker doc—which I do very much want to see—of my own volition.

OH DIP, feeling like a champ after nominating both THE BOX and AGUIRRE in the last few weeks!

Maybe you need a new rule that if any film loses the head-to-head vote 3 times, or 4 times, or whatever threshold, you'll automatically watch it too. A Buffalo Bills rule, you might say (that's a football reference, Mike). As much fun as it is to see a group of committed advocates narrowly lose week after week, it's nice to have variety in the options too.....

Forgot that you're an advocate of Buffalo '66. You know all about the Bills.
