I wasn't paying attention to this week's showdown, but George Hawtin reports that the vote was deadlocked with only a minute or so remaining, at which point somebody apparently switched their vote from Rebel Without a Cause to The Box, giving the latter an improbable victory. I'm no fan of the Richard Kelly films (maybe should that be singular?) that most people do like, so...actually, I guess his true film maudit could go either way for me. Would you believe that I don't know the premise? (I think I heard about it at the time, but have long since forgotten.) Nobody tell me. It's readily rentable, if you, too, took a pass in '09 but remain curious.
