Classic Hitchcock held off a serious challenge from neo-blaxploitation, with Black Dynamite making a second consecutive strong showing that wasn’t quite enough. As for Rear Window, it’s a film I know well and can’t imagine not thoroughly enjoying once again, though my last viewing was 19 years ago. Get your binoculars out.

In theory, the only ones I prefer are <i>Vertigo</i> and <i>North by Northwest</i>. We shall see.
