Apparently I forgot to adjust the settings for this week's poll, which means that it had no designated end time (I concluded it manually about 20 minutes after the usual 24 hours had elapsed, when I noticed that it was still running) and that you were allowed to vote for more than one film (which nobody realized or took advantage of, it appears, since the total number of votes is the same as usual). In any case, Chaplin's The Kid prevailed, becoming our first silent winner—mostly because it's the only one that's been suggested thus far. (Next oldest film is Foreign Correspondent, from 1940. Having a Letterboxd list really makes looking this stuff up quick 'n' easy.) Looks like it's readily available—Amazon Prime, Criterion Channel, Kanopy—if you want to watch it yourself.
