Come and See edged out The Long Goodbye, 17% to 16%. (Too lazy to check how many votes it won by, but I’m guessing just one.) If I remember correctly, Klimov’s film has been around since the very first poll, never having done particularly well before. So if you’re still sticking with a request that has yet to catch fire, there’s always hope.

Don’t really recall what I thought of this when I saw it in 2001 (a couple years before I began rating old films). Just remember it being horrific.
