My original plan was to send out individual, semi-personalized thank-yous, but that assumed fewer patrons, most of whom I'd know. So instead let me repeat what I wrote on Letterboxd: Your support means a lot to me—not just because it allows me to spend more time watching films and writing about them (and less time taking advantage of degenerate gamblers), but because it reaffirms that I haven't been talking to myself all these years. Looking forward to giving you your money's worth.

Mike, you’re one of the few critics whose writing has truly impacted me, both as a writer and as a film lover. Glad to be helping out any way I can.

Here’s an idea — what if one particular $2/month patron asked you to post one NL hand a month for strategy discussion? No coolers, brags, or bad beats. Just interesting spots or questionable plays.

Mike, I've been reading your stuff for 20+ years, and I'm a huge fan. Happy to help.

So glad to be able to support you. Been a fan for ~5 years--I actually made this list on Letterboxd. How are the polls going to work? Will you be choosing the options yourself for us to vote on?

At the top of each month, I'll solicit requests from the folks in the ludicrously generous $10+ tiers. (There are more of these—the folks, not the tiers—than I anticipated.) Then I'll create a poll, including all requests, in which $5+ patrons get to vote. My original plan was to watch/review the winner, but I'll probably try to do 3 or 4 per month. Requests that aren't chosen will roll over to the next poll. (There doesn't appear to be a limit on the number of poll options, though I stopped adding in my test run after like nine or ten.)
