I found Sydney thanks to a local art meetup she attended while getting herself out there. It certainly worked because she caught my eye immediately! I’m happy to say she was excited to shoot and down to try whatever crazy idea I came up with. This one in particular was a little extra hair brained...because it involved this fluff that in no way stuck together like I thought it would in my hand. Getting it into these positions was nearly impossible, took the two of us at least 45 minutes, and it fell several times after we were almost finished.

By the end of it, she was terrified every time I would mess with it to fix a hole in the construction, she just kept saying “stop it!!!” in a stern but fun tone. It was such a blast, and the tension definitely provided a nice little adrenaline rush. Also for any of you aspiring shooters who want to build something similar, no rubber bands and tape did not work AT ALL. Tape just caused little bits of fluff to stick to it, but the large chunks would just fall right off leaving a strip of barely hairy tape. The secret in the end was building a structure that was essentially a series of small platforms. Part two later this month!

Find the outfit on Etsy if you would like to get one for yourself!
