I've never released this publicly.

Here's an old sketch I did (in PENCIL) from when I first was developing the Flux Destiny idea after the "Battlegate" pilot webcomic.

The characters have changed and deepened so much that they're literally not the same: both physically, mentally, or spiritually.

Hugo and Marco are very different characters now from the early concept. They're much closer in age, only a year separating them. They live in an entirely different universe. Literally everything about them except their names has changed.

But that's what development is.

In my years as a studio executive, I can tell you that "settling" on your first idea is the worst thing you can do. It's normal for artists and creatives to fall in love with the first thing they create.

But do you know what made the most difference for me as I became a better and stronger creative?

---> getting excited about THROWING THINGS AWAY.

Flux Destiny is what it is now because I embraced that.

I love throwing ideas away until I get to something I really love.

I hope you embrace that too.
