Sneak Peek: Hugo Hero-Shot from the "Beginner's Guide to Karmastry" Book (Patreon)

Hey Patreon fam—I've got a special one for you today.

Here's a giant Hugo that appears early on in the book. He's featured prominently on a two page spread that talks about all the kinds of things one can do with karmastry.

In this pose, Hugo is in a mix of outfits from his clothes on hand. When I worked with SNAPS to create a new set of costumes for him, I wanted to create a collection that looked like it was a combination of hand-me-down clothes and pieces from his academy uniform that could come together in way like he had crashed into a Goodwill and stumbled out looking kinda cool lol.

I think Hugo's style is accidental—he has to work with what he has given his family's financial situation. And, this particular outfit he's in combines his Academy tunic with some pants that are already worn and torn—very likely hand-me-downs from his older brothers.

This next book sets the stage for the entire series and explains why Hugo and Marco are on the run... and their clothes match their situation.

I particularly like this shot because of Hugo's giant "torus" that's been his trademark since I first came up with the character. I love how SNAPS featured it here.
